Battle reports for tournament: (Sebastian)
Scotland vs Spain (Pascale):
Straight away the waves of the sea were rough and Spain tried once again to show the Scottish where there place should be!
‘All a matter of perspective’, the Scot though.
In a straight move the Spanish launched a ramming attack against the cargo ship of the Scottish… the waves of fortune rolled for the Scottish and the Spanish failed miserably.
But straight after that disappointment another Spain-ship appeared on the horizon in a straight line trying to ram the Scottish ship in order to achieve where the first one failed.
Talking about failing, Spain failed again.
Severally beaten the Scottish marine launched their pride Polaris and the game was soon under control in the end as Scottish madness is well known they rammed the Spanish on their home island being pinned and several times being shot at but the Spanish must have had a cup or two too much, 3 rounds no hit!
In the end the Spanish main ship was struggling with one mast left.
Scotland won!
Scotland vs Pirates (Cpt raleur):
The pirates chose the base for the Scots just in front of them so they could manoeuver around and hit the Scots where it hurts, aye certainly under the kilt!
But recall that there was the Polaris in game (even though the Scottish where a bit too tiddled to remember that with a roll of 5 and 6 the opponent would miss…) and soon the Pirates faced their Black Pearl left with 1 mast! Needless to say the Polaris was severally struggling too (not using the 5/6 roll)! One mast left!
When a second pirate ship turned up from seemingly nowhere and took aim at it, luckily enough Mrs Fortune was pretty keen on the Scottish.
Using Trevor Hull and shooting with the Polaris hammered some masts of the Pirates making the Captn raleur rather “Raleur”; with the ability to shoot and then to move and docking at the home island Polaris was safe! The Pirates moved on a tiny bit to get a good aim at the second ship of the Scots, unfortunately the Pirates stopped still in the range of the Polaris, now guess what happened!
The game was relatively quick.
Scotland won.
Scotland vs Spanish(Christian):
Now being relatively confident with 2 ships but with a slight worry/suspicion Scotland had to sail against the Spanish.
I guess the quickest game ever!
Spain having its Castro moved straight with a 4 master and a flotilla straight in front of the polaris, and there the Scottish smelled the foul breath of the second crew member the Spanish had on board! A canceller!
Now surely the Polaris was in trouble and it took only one well aimed salve from the Spanish to knock it totally out!
But not stopping there the Spanish moved on and the second Scottish ship could just make it safely to the homeisland with only 1 mast left.
The Spanish went on collecting gold and the Scottish quickly took their kilts and knitted them together to some new sails, erected them and sailed with a light breeze around their legs to collect some gold which was left over. The Spanish had to fear nothing anymore!
Spain wins!
Scotland vs. America (Carlos):
Again a direct move of the opponent against the Scottish fleet...
The Scots raised the sails and found pretty quickly a victory against the main battle ship of the Yankees. One needs to say though that some losses had to be carried, the Americans were playing a tough game.
Nonetheless with a highland charge, even though no highlands were around, the Scottish caught a derelict ship of the Americans and sunk it which left the opponent with only a few options.
Eventually the Scottish made the right move and the Americans were militarily knocked out.
Scotland wins!
